Open GF Scanner and tap the barcode icon. Hold your phone's camera over the product barcode — the app reads it in under a second and checks it against a growing database of food products with verified gluten information.
You'll see a clear result: gluten-free, contains gluten, or unknown. For known products, the app displays the full ingredient list with any gluten-containing ingredients highlighted so you can verify for yourself.
A database that grows with every scan
Our product database is continuously updated with new items. When you scan a product that isn't in the database yet, the app falls back to its AI-powered ingredient analysis to give you an answer anyway.
Over time, this means the barcode scanner gets faster and more accurate for the products you buy regularly — and for products that other GF Scanner users have scanned before you.
